Thanks for your interest in the One World Triathlon -- Cincinnati. We're looking forward to meeting you along the Ohio River in June. Right now, we're finalizing race maps, and will have them posted on-line in the next few days. We encourage you to explore Kathy Cunningham's coaching tips, get on-line to discover what Cincinnati has to offer, and get familiar with Paddlefest, who we're working with to make your weekend even more fun.
If you have any questions, please email me, and we'll get right back with you.
Happy training!

Hi!
Just signed up! Would love to hear more about swimming in the river in Cinci.
Swam in the river for IMLou and it was pretty nice.
Will the start be a mass start of a time trial?
Thanks for checking in. We have been meeting regularly with the Ohio River Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO), and the water quality will be tested and reported up to race time. See

on the triathlon website, and check here for updates. Hope your training is going well.
The race will be started in waves. It will be in an water start with athletes treading waters until the starting horn. Wave starts will be announced at the pre-race meetings on June 27 and June 28.
Regarding the swim start: the OH River's current can fluctuate.. I've participated in tris where the current is strong so a rope is setup for people to hold onto until the start horn (so they don't accidentally float down the river while treading). Has this or a similar option been explored due to the river's unpredictability?
